The Tent home page and click on the Register button. Once your congregation affiliation is confirmed, you will get an email welcoming you to The Tent with instructions on how to begin participating.
For the most complete and robust Tent experience, users should use The Tent from their computer. However, users can also access The Tent using the Yammer app on their mobile device, which is available in both iOS and Android app stores online. Additionally, conversations can be monitored and replied to over email.
The Tent is built in Yammer, a cloud based, private enterprise networking service that is part of the Microsoft O365 suite of tools. The Tent is a Yammer network, and inside The Tent network are a series of discussion groups covering all different areas of synagogue life. Once you activate your account, please join the groups that are of interest to you, and start to monitor and participate in conversations. You will also note that every discussion group has a file library where you can find documents that relate to the discussions of that group.
In addition to The Tent network, there are also private networks for many affiliated organizations, such as the National Association for Temple Administration (NATA), the American Conference of Cantors (ACC) and Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism (ECE-RJ), to name just a few. There is a network for congregational presidents called The Presidents' Lounge, and networks and private discussion groups for other cohorts throughout the Movement. Access to these member based private networks and groups can be requested when clicking on the Register button on
The Tent home page.
